Sur la Route Vers la France

'Sur la Route Vers la France' - On route to France, well that's what its supposed to say anyway according to Google Translate so blame that and not me if it's wrong okay?

During the week of the 11th August and the week following it I went on holiday with my dad, his girlfriend Coral and my two sisters, Orla-May and Rhiannon to France.  We drove up from Dover docks over to Dunkirk and then on for a few hours till we reached our holiday home.  A lot of the time we sat and chilled out and did our own thing but one of the days we went into the main city of Paris.

We took the train up to Gare du Nord station and went and grabbed some breakfast consisting of coffee and a croissant before trying to navigate ourselves to the Tour de Eiffel or as its more commonly known as the Eiffel Tower.  We stopped by a few other places on the way round and soon decided that we would get the Big Bus tour round the city so located the nearest stop and got on.

We walked through this cute garden called Jardin de Plantes which is a huge botanical garden.

We got on the bus tour around Paris to see a bit more of the city.

River Seine

Along the way went up the Champs-Élysées which is the huge road with a bunch of high end shops such as Louis Vuitton, D&G and Chanel among high street shops such as H&M.  It also has the only McDonald's in the world with white writing instead of yellow.

Eventually once we had gone back down the Champs-Élysées we ended up at the Eiffel Tower.

After looking around, traipsing around to find food and round shops and going on a boat trip up the River Seine we headed back to the train station back to the house we were staying at.  It was a super awesome day to look around the city as to see the Eiffel Tower as It'd always been something I'd wanted to visit and it was a nice day to spend with my family.

I hope you enjoyed this post
